Deviantart.com user gallery downloader downloads things outside user gallery

Hello,

I recently updated to the newest version of the Deviantart.com user gallery downloader in the below link

I believe I was on version 15 before. Now the new version 17 downloads a whole bunch of extra images that don't even come from the gallery I targetted with Extreme Picture Finder.

For example, if the gallery has 48 submissions. It somehow downloads hundreds of extra other images that are from unrelated galleries.

I don't know how to stop or prevent this, is this something that the creator of this template knows about?

This gallery contains 2731 deviations... This template downloads all pictures from all galleries submitted by a user. It cannot download from one selected "sub-gallery".

Sorry I should've clarified more. It downloads deviations from other users too. I would start seeing images labeled from other users. Instead of everything coming from one user, I suspect it's downloading the images on the right hand side when you click on an image.

For example, if I look at this image here https://www.deviantart.com/andy-varhall ... 1113894719 and look at the right side, it promotes images from other users. I think the template is grabbing and downloading them, which is what is blowing up the amount of images it is downloading.

I did another test on a small gallery to be certain. I found this one https://www.deviantart.com/himera67/gallery and used this same link. It has 48 submissions. My Extreme Picture Finder has downloaded 657 items before I stopped it.

You must be doing something wrong. Extreme Picture Finder downloaded 49 files from the link you provided. And they were all from one user. So, here is what you have to do. First, make sure you have the most recent version of the software:

Then install the most recent version of the template:

After that, create a new project with the updated template (that's important, you have to create a new project) and try again. Please let me know if it worked for you this time.

I do not believe I could be doing something wrong, if so please review the recording I made of the issue replicating and advise. I found another gallery where this issue replicates. It appears to be intermittent. I sometimes have it happen on some galleries and some don't do it. It's really odd. I would delete the project and start a new one again with the same link and it would always download more than what's in the gallery.

https://www.deviantart.com/lightningspeaking/gallery I found this gallery while testing and the issue reappeared. This user has 129 uploads. When I finished downloading, the folder had 181 items and several of them were from other users as evident by the file name saying 'by' and having another username. Not as bad as the previous galleries I tried to download, but that still grabs many pictures that I do not want.

Your video shows that you are doing everything exactly the way it should be done. And using the URL you provided, I was also able to replicate the issue. Since devianart.com feed is parsed by the dedicated built-in module, not only with the template settings, you'll have to download and install the updated software:

In the new version, please create a new project and let me know if it works better now.

I updated to the latest version and downloaded template 18 as well. It is now working correctly. Thank you for the help.
