Hi Maxim & Extreme Internet Team,
Sorry if this information is available on this forum (or website) as I could not find it on this forum when searching this forum for "video" or "video search" or "video download". If the information is available, please share the link and I am sorry for the inconvenience.
Question:
Could I please have guidance for setting up EPF to be able to search for video files based on the Web Search criteria. I remember reading a long time ago that EPF is also capable for downloading videos like images, but I believe you need to adjust the advance settings for the file type and size among other settings. Hoping to find a guide or video that can walk me through this process.
Thoughts:
I am not exactly sure how this would work as so many of the videos on the web these days are not video files like MP4 or AVI files but are encoded stream files that don't really have extensions. Not sure if EPF is capable of detecting and catching these kinds of files when crawling through the links... like files on YouTube and other streaming sites. (If EPF is able to download video files, can you please let me know what kind of files it can download and what kind of sites I should be focusing on. Please note that I am looking for non-sexual sites like Reddit, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc... that I can search for targeted keywords, etc.)
Context:
I am interested in conducting a frequent search & search update for key niches like "Natural Disaster" and "Lifehack" for videos as I would like to review these videos to understand the latest trends and topics of discussion so I can incorporate them into my related blogs.
Your guidance and support will be greatly appreciated.. even if EPF can only support standard video files... be able to collect these related video files via the Search Engine or targeted site searches will help me in the quest of staying on top of such niches.
Thank you in advance for your guidance!
Best regards,
Phil Harvey

Re: How to Configure EPF to search for video files, not image files?
I don't think it's humanly possible to create software that will be able to process every video platform returned by the search results. Yes, Extreme Picture Finder can download videos, it can even bulk-download videos, but within a certain website. For example, if a video website has a search feature, then EPF could be configured to process the website's search results pages and grab all video search results from it (there are dozens of templates for different websites that do that). Or all videos from a certain category of a website. But that's all only within one website. When you use search engines, you'll get results from thousands of different websites. It doesn't really matter if you want images, but videos is a completely different story.

Hi Maksym,
Thank you for the reply. I appreciate the clarification as to EPF's capabilities with downloading video files. Once I am able to identify some specific sites that are commonly hosting such videos, I will reach out to you for a request to see if it is possible to add it to your backlog of creating custom templates for EPF to work with such a site.
As always, thank you for such a great software and ongoing support.
Warm regards,
Phil
