how to skip the "Reading pictures. Scanned folders: 1234, scanned files: 60553 so far..."

yes I am doing a huge library it's on SSD - but it takes so so long to scan

there must be some way to pre-index / pre-scan the library and avoid it scanning it every time

or maybe there is some other screensaver that you can recommend?

thank you ...

The slideshow is supposed to start during the reading process. When the first picture that was not shown before is found. But we do have several reports that screensaver acts the way you describe it. And we do have plans to make it so that there is a fixed, pre-scanned list of pictures that is built in the settings and is shown immediately when the screensaver starts.

not sure why I have this issue
maybe because the library is huge

what options do I have for a solution?

thank you

maybe because my history file is 134MB big

C:\Users\YOUR-USERNAME\AppData\Local\Endless Slideshow Screensaver\history.dat

YES renaming it (removing it)

FIXED it

I renamed it manually but another option for users is to

Settings > Slideshow > Shown picture history - checkmark [ X ] "Reset shows pictures history on start-up"

PS my library is 443 GB (476,202,534,016 bytes) - 393,731 Files, 3,171 Folders
