Is it possible to display the Artist and Song Name of music playing?

Hello,

Just registered for these forums, love the slideshow software, it's really the best.

Is it possible to have the text pull from the metadata from audio files being played by a different media player going on simultaneously?

Essentially what I'd like is for text to only appear when songs change, to show the artist and track name when a new song starts, then fade out after x seconds if possible.

Right now it's not possible. Sorry. Which external media player do you use?

I could use any if it made it possible to work with the screensaver. iTunes is my go-to currently but there are plenty of other good options.

Have you tried the built-in music player? This one can display the track file name.
