Enlarge small images

Post by Howard » 03 Mar 2009, 14:50

Just installed your screen saver of freewarefiles. Superb. I do have one suggestion. Would be nice if you could enlarge the pictures to fit the screen, but keeping the aspect ratio.

Thanks again for a top piece of software.

In Endless Slideshow Screensaver version 1.1 we added a possibility to enlarge small images. In settings select Viewer tab. There is an Image size section where you can check the Stretch small images to fit screen. This option will do what you want.

I also have problems with pictures that do not fit the screen aspect ratio. The "stretch" options gives black borders around the image. It would be nice with some smart cropping like the "best guess" option in the Flekdev screensaver, which is very nice. Not freeware though, but cheaper than the ESS pro version ;)

OK, Steve, thank you very much for the suggestion. We'll add the "Auto crop" feature in one of the next versions.

Steve, you are welcome to download the new version of Endless Slideshow Screensaver from our website. The feature you requested was added. In the screensaver settings select the Viewer tab, the Picture size section. You'll see a new option called Smart crop
