Post by nnina084 » 10 Feb 2020, 03:37

The title of the page in EPF and the page is saved with wrong coding.
Example: ćčçíč

Applies to pages with Cyrillic (coding CP-1251)

Windows 7 OS Polish

What is the 4-th sub-option? Current date + numerical?

I installed EPF and used all the default settings.
After downloading the file, the HTML file in the browser shows the damaged charset. Invalid encoding.

This website does not provide character encoding in the page text, so page context is shown in the default encoding of your Windows (which is Polish as you said before). On Russian version of Windows the saved files are displayed properly.

There is a problem with the correct display in Firefox.
Everything is ok in Google Chrome and Chromium

Code: Select all

Firefox -> More -> Coding Text -> Unicode
Info: ISO-8859-2

Cannot set a different encoding. Options blocked.
The correct encoding is 1251

Extreme Picture Finder saves files as they are. It does not change encoding in the process.
