Name sub-folder

Post by kaosnews » 22 Sep 2017, 14:03

I have just purchased Extreme Picture Finder, and man... great tool!

I was wondering if it's possible to grab the title of the page and use this to name the sub-folder. So it will extract the <title>Title of page</title>. I now use the name of the page http://www.site.com/test.html, sot the name of the sub-folder is now 'test'.

Thank you very much!

Currently you can use only target file address or parent page address for sub-folder names, but we will add a possibility to create sub-folder names using parent page title just like it is now in the file naming. You will be able to provide Regular Expression and the title of the page which address matches the provided RE will be used as a sub-folder name.

OK, it's done. Please download the update and enjoy the new option in the "Sub-folders" section of the project properties:

Some titles got a / in the name - so for example 'This is a test/and also a test' the directory structure is then:
- This is a test
-- and also a test

how to fix this? Or is this impossible to fix on my end.

Second question :)

If you use the catalog mode in 4chan (for example: http://boards.4chan.org/gd/catalog) I think it's also possible to use new sub-folder title of the parent page option (I think it works better then the 4chan board template which save all pictures in 1 directory). For some reason I can't get it to work... maybe you have a solution?

I don't get. What can you get to work? The template works fine with this URL http://boards.4chan.org/gd/

If you want to use page title for sub-folder option in catalog mode, then what URLs do you want to use to get titles from? Like this one:

Sure it works fine - but all the content is dumped in the Destination folder. I was in the understanding that in catalog mode: http://boards.4chan.org/gd/catalog (but it's basically the same as normal view) every thread got his own folder with the name from the title. So:

http://boards.4chan.org/gd/thread/322862
Title: aftereffects
